Declaration

By submitting this form, the committee - on behalf of all group members - acknowledge that:

  1. The parks and greenspaces team act as the landowner on behalf of all Liverpool City Council parks and greenspaces.
  2. You must get permission from the council's Parks Officers before carrying out any activities and events outside of casual use. Whilst you can seek advice from councillors and other council staff, permission can only be granted by Parks Officers.
  3. Hosting unauthorised events means your group Public Liability Insurance and that of any third party, may be deemed invalid. You could be held personally liable for any damages or claims. The organiser may also be in breach of Parks Byelaws and be held responsible for any penalties or enforcement action.
  4. Any environmental problems in parks, for example, litter or broken equipment, must be reported via the appropriate service forms at liverpool.gov.uk/environmentalproblems - this allocates the work directly to the service responsible and will be prioritised by risk. Do not report issues directly to officers as these will not be tracked. Comments on social media will not be actioned.
  5. The event organiser is responsible for ensuring relevant permissions are in place and all attendees are appropriately briefed on risk assessments and procedures relating to the activity, for example, the sharps collection procedure for litter picks.
  6. Liverpool City Council reserve the right to remove any unauthorised installations in parks.
