By submitting this form, you agree to the following licence conditions:

  • To pay the non-refundable fee of £200 for a three year licence with this application.
  • The licence is valid for one ‘A’ Board only, which is kept within the width of the shop frontage, ensuring that there is a minimum 2m width of unobstructed pavement remaining for passing pedestrians, prams and wheelchairs.
  • The licence shall be valid for 3 years from the date of approval.
  • The permission is limited to between the hours of 8am and 10pm (unless otherwise stated), and it is the responsibility of the Licensee to ensure that the ‘A’ Board is removed from the highway outside these times or when the business is closed.
  • The ‘A’ Board shall be a standard A1 size (637 x 1100 x 800mm) and a maximum of 1.1 metres high.
  • The Licensee shall comply the council’s “A Boards - Permission and Management Guidelines”, which is available to view on our A-board webpage.
  • The licence is personal to the Licensee and is not capable of being assigned or underlet.
  • The ‘A’ Board must not be affixed to the footway or any other street furniture and must be easily removed by hand without the need for any mechanical assistance.
  • Must maintain Public Liability Insurance of £5m.
